Background:
Emmanuel Muuo Mumo was born on 28th June, 2005 and is 6 years old. He is in nursery school. His mother passed away in 2006 from malaria and she was not married. Emmanuel lives with his 66 year old grandmother and a cousin who is also in nursery school. On their 1 acre piece of land, they plant maize, beans, bananas, avocadoes, mangoes and passion fruits. They also have 2 chickens.
The grandmother earns an income from selling the farm produce when there is excess. He sleeps on a wooden bed shared with his cousin. They use rags as a mattress and beddings to cover themselves.
His wish list includes school fees, food, clothes, uniform, soap, mattress, blanket, bed sheets, textbooks, pens, school bag, shoes, socks, bed and reading lamp. This can be fulfilled with a $169 donation.
