Food Distribution – every two weeks
The first four children, and their extended families, to receive support were identified by the community leaders. They were Faith, Judah, Muinde and Kanini. Starting at that point they were provided with food packages every two weeks. These packages, which were worth $60.00 per month, provided basic food items that would be a substantial part of the diet of these children and their extended families. These children were selected by the community leaders as they were ‘true’ orphans with no parents and had grandparents who were themselves older, ailing, and not able to provide sufficient support.
